Please be advised that Chevron Lubricants and Valvoline have announced a price increase, of up to 10% on all lubricating oils and greases. Chevron Lubricants price increase is effective now and Valvoline will be on 11/09/2020.
Suppliers attribute the price increase to several factors, including the rising cost of base oil, higher freight rates and the increasing cost of raw materials.
In addition, the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic have also played a role in the lubricants price increase.
There has been a greater demand for resin, caps, and bottles due to the immense new demand for cleaning and disinfectant products, which has caused the prices for those products to spike. Many businesses are also experiencing higher costs to maintain safe operations and keep plant staffing levels sufficient to run as efficiently as possible.
