It’s time for a pop quiz. What can you do to help ensure that your equipment lasts longer, improve fuel efficiency and decrease your overall operating costs? The answer is simple. Reach out to Greg’s Petroleum Service to have our specialists perform a Chevron RBL Best in Class Assessment.
The Chevron’s RBL Program name says it all. The acronym RBL stands for “Run Better Longer,” because the program is designed to improve all aspects of your commercial and industrial fleet function to help you meet your business goals. We go above and beyond standard maintenance procedures and testing to customize all aspects of your fuel fleet service oil and lubricants use, based on your goals and individualized needs.
During an RBL assessment, our specialists will begin by asking a series of questions to analyze your business’s current lubrication and fleet maintenance program. Why? The goal of the Best In Class ranking is to help your business perform at world class levels by identifying potential opportunities for improvement. We won’t make any assumptions, and will take into consideration your team’s needs before creating a program.
As we get started, we’ll take three basic steps as part of the overall assessment. Those steps are outlined below to provide an introductory overview of our program.
Chevron’s RBL Best in Class Assessment includes:
– Analysis of the customer’s current lubrication program and to identify potential opportunities for improvement.
– Comparison to target goals/objectives and best in class standards/practices.
– Targeted scoring to set a baseline for the lubrication and maintenance system in place, and with scoring goals set to help identify opportunities for improvement, and measure results.
The Chevron RBL Program is designed to be comprehensive. We cover all areas, including product choice, best practices for use, timing intervals for maintenance, and more. We want to give you a foundation of knowledge that will improve your operations.
It will also include measurable benchmarks for success, so that you can easily see the returns from an improved system of maintenance and lubrication.
To give you some idea of how comprehensive the testing is, we’ve provided the five assessment areas below.
Review Areas For Fleet Fuel Service Customers
1. Product Selection: This area of the testing is designed to determine if the correct products are being used for correct equipment application and whether or not the equipment is operating at original OEM design specifications.
2. Product Integrity: Is your business following best practices for product storage and handling procedures? This area will outline best practices and determine if fluid cleanliness standards are being followed and met.
3. Optimized Lubrication Intervals: It’s no good using the right products if you’re not using them properly, or on an appropriate schedule. We’ll want to measure whether lubrication intervals are being tracked in line with industry standards. Helps identify if lubricants are being fully utilized and optimized.
4. Lubrication Program Management: Are you performing regular routine maintenance? This area is designed to determine if best practice of a comprehensive, detailed Computerized Maintenance Management Program (CMMS) or Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedule is being followed.
5. Inventory Management and Vendor Performance: To determine the effectiveness of a customer’s management of inventory and overall performance of the current lubricant supplier.
In short, we can provide you with a comprehensive assessment as part of our fleet fueling services to help you make the best decisions for your business. Our experts want to provide you with the knowledge and training you need to save money, time, and to protect your investment.
